UEMS Section and Board of Paediatric Surgery 

Dear Jiri,

I've the pleasure to inform you that, after the official admission of 10 new countries in the EU, the Executive Committee has reconsidered the problem of registration as Fellows of the European Board of the established Paediatric Surgeons in these Countries.

In the January 2006 Paris meeting we agreed that, with the new status of these Countries - Czech Republic among them - it would be a fair "welcome gesture" toward them to reopen the applications for registration for established paediatric surgeons. Therefore please find attached the official letter and the application form.

If the Czech Society of Paediatric Surgery is interested in such a process, you should:

1. advertise this possibility to the Members  of the Society
2. circulate among them the application form
3. establish an "ad hoc" Committee within the Society
4. collect and examine the application forms
5. approve those you consider worth of registration, strictly according to the prerequisites specified in the attached letter
6. send me the approved application forms, duly signed by the Society's  president, deadline 31st December 2006
